It will be held at Malindi Beach in Parekklisia, Limassol district, from April 19–21, 2024.

Rowers from all over the world will come together for this thrilling event, for three days of intense competition.

The races will begin every day at 9:00 a.m., and last until 5:00 p.m., providing spectators with plenty of chances to experience the thrill and exhilaration of the best coastal rowing.

“We are thrilled to be hosting the 2nd International Coastal Rowing Beach Sprints Competition,” said Andreas Papadopoulos President of Limassol Nautical Club.

“We are certain that this year’s tournament will be even greater after the success of the previous year’s event, in which competitors from seven different countries participated. The stakes are higher than ever with beach sprints now formally included in the Olympic program for 2028, and we are excited to welcome rowers and spectators to what looks to be an incredible event.”

Races Description:

Two or four athletes compete against each other starting with a 30m sprint on the beach until they reach their boat (single or double), follow a series of slaloms in the water for 500m and finally exit their boats for a sprint run for another 30 meters to the finish line.

Registrations will be open until 14/4 and at the time of writing, there were participants from ten countries, including a strong and very welcome representation from Japan! We would also like to note that Olympic and world champions have already registered.

Visit Malindi Beach from April 19 to April 21 for three days of thrilling competition and unparalleled seaside excitement.
