On Friday, May 10, Thkio Ppalies will host the presentation of the works of the resident artists of Radical Afterlives: The Cyprus Movements Archive Project, Belinda Papavasiliou, Emily Demetriou and x.ypno.

After extensive research and interaction with different aspects and topics of the CMA, the artists are sharing the outcomes of their residency, which include performances, films and audiovisual installations, approaching and activating the archive in ways that contribute to its various lives and afterlives.

Following that, on Sunday at 6 p.m., sociologist Antonis Pastellopoulos will give a lecture on the history of Cypriot social movements, which will be followed by a discussion about the artists’ works.

Radical Afterlives: The Cyprus Movements Archive Project is an artistic research programme that aims at initiating a dialogue and forging artistic expressions about the history of radical thought and action in Cyprus, as this is documented in the Cyprus Movements Archive: https://movementsarchive.org/doku.php.
