A 23-year-old woman was attacked by her ex-partner and his brother while in her car.

Specifically, on April 23, 2024, a 23-year-old woman reported that on April 21, around 4:30 in the afternoon, while parked on the Limassol seafront in her car, another car parked next to hers. A 22-year-old ex-partner of hers got out of the car and assaulted her.

He then forcibly put her inside her car and drove off in an unknown direction.

During the journey, the 23-year-old noticed that the car previously occupied by the 22-year-old was following them, and at the same time, he threatened to harm her and hit her.

At some point, they stopped at an unknown location, and both cars stopped. Then the 24-year-old brother of the 22-year-old, who was driving the car following them, got out and threatened her, brandishing a knife and injuring her.

Subsequently, the 22-year-old put the 23-year-old in the passenger seat and followed his 24-year-old brother to a bank branch in Limassol. There, under the threat of the knife, the 24-year-old forced the 23-year-old to hand over €200.

The two suspects were arrested last night by members of the Limassol Police and are being brought before the court today.
