Temperatures will remain stuck at 40 C inland on Wednesday, as the met office issued another yellow alert, warning of extreme high temperature.
The warning is in force from 11 am to 4 pm.
In its forecast it said Wednesday will be mainly fine, with temperatures of 40 C inland, 32 C on the west coast, 35 on the remaining coasts and 31 C n the mountains.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be mainly fine, with temperatures edging down gradually but still slightly above the average for the time of year.
