Relevant News

Malicious intent is suspected from the initial investigations by the Police and Fire Service regarding the fire that broke out in the early morning at a driving school truck, which was parked in the parking area of the Department of Road Transport in Paphos.

The fire completely destroyed the truck, which is used for the road training of individuals interested in obtaining a professional driver’s licence for this type of vehicle.

The fire brigade, called to the scene, extinguished the fire, which had already spread to a second truck parked next to the educational one.

This second vehicle belongs to a company based in the industrial area of Mesogi, where the Department of Road Transport in Paphos is also located. This second vehicle suffered damage to the rear part.

Following the extinguishing of the fire, investigations and evidence collection began, with the authorities initially forming an image of malicious intent. The investigations intensified with the first light of day to identify the perpetrators and the reasons behind the malicious act.
