Closed at around 6:30 am today, Monday [08/04], is the road from Palaichori to Nicosia, in the section from Anagia up to and including Deftera, due to a road collision.
Drivers are advised to use the old Nicosia-Palaichori road, via Deftera and Anagia.
According to the Police, drivers heading towards Nicosia are advised to divert to the old road, via the bypass towards the Industrial Area of Ergaton and Anagia–Deftera, while drivers heading towards Palaichori are advised to divert to the old road, via the bypass to the left of the roundabout past the private football fields and the private school, on the Nicosia-Palaichori road.
At the collision site, members of the Police are present to conduct examinations, provide assistance, and regulate traffic flow.
The Police recommend particular caution to passing drivers, who are urged to drive their vehicles safely at low speeds, maintain a safe distance from preceding vehicles, and follow the instructions of the Police members present in the area to provide assistance and regulate traffic.
