An 18-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition following a collision in Lythrodontas, Nicosia, on Wednesday evening.
Police said they received reports of the accident at around 9:30 p.m. The rider, from the Nicosia province, was travelling on Archbishop Makarios III Avenue towards Mathiatis when they lost control of the motorcycle and skidded.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. The rider sustained a head injury and was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where they remain in critical condition, according to medical reports.
The Pera Chorio-Nisou Police Station is investigating the incident.
