The expansion of the photo-detection system in Limassol is now underway, with ten new cameras installed at three key points along the city’s road network.
According to the Police, four of the new cameras will be monitoring red light violations, white line violations, and speeding at the intersection of Franklin Roosevelt and Omonia Avenues.
Another four cameras will be monitoring the same violations at the intersection of Nikos Pattichis and Spyrou Kyprianou Avenues.
Finally, two cameras have been installed on the Limassol Port – Kato Polemidia road to monitor vehicle speed.
The goal of the photo-detection system is to reduce the number of fatal and serious road accidents, as well as to promote responsible driving behaviour.
