The Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works announced that tree cutting, pruning, and collection of eucalyptus and other trees will take place on the highway in the Larnaca province next week.
According to the announcement from the Office of the District Engineer of Larnaca, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works, “from Monday, January 22, to Wednesday, January 24, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00, tree cutting/pruning and collection of eucalyptus and other trees will be carried out on the embankments and slopes along the entire length of the Larnaca Airport – Ayia Napa highway.”
During the execution of the works, the left lane of the highway will be periodically closed, and traffic will be maintained on the right lane as usual.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that may arise and urges the public to show necessary understanding and patience. The department also assures compliance with temporary road signage and police instructions.
