Relevant News

Conference, under the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides, regarding the issue of the unified development of Larnaca port and marina, will take place on Monday morning at the Presidential Palace, in the presence of company representatives, the Director-General of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, and the Mayor of Larnaca.

This was announced on Friday by the Government Spokesperson Constantinos Letymbiotis, responding to a question, following the session of the National Security Council (NSC), chaired by President Christodoulides.

Letymbiotis stated that “the President of the Republic had publicly expressed his intention for this meeting to take place,” which will be held on Monday, 15th April, at 11.00 am, at the Presidential Palace, “to discuss the issue related to the project.”

In response to an observation that there was a statement from the responsible Minister that the company is not willing to submit a performance bond and when asked if the Government perceives any change in the company’s stance, Letymbiotis said that “so far we have not observed any change,” and this is the reason, as he stated, “why the meeting will also take place at the level of the President of the Republic, precisely to discuss these issues, which have concerned both the Government and the local community in recent times.”
