The president of ELAM, Christos Christou, expressed his absolute satisfaction regarding the inclusion of Marios Pelekanos in the party’s European election ballot.
He referred to this as a response to ELAM’s political positions and objectives for Cyprus.
He also emphasized that Pelekanos is joining ELAM not just for the European elections.
In his statement to ANT1, Christou mentioned that Marios Pelekanos has a similar approach on various issues such as immigration and demographics.
Pelekanos possesses the political maturity and sharpness to make decisions for himself and his political future, added the president of ELAM.
ELAM’s invitation is open and directed to everyone who believes that what the party stands for and seeks is correct and is willing to join this political struggle, Christou stated.
Furthermore, Christos Christou denied that Marios Pelekanos joined ELAM’s European election ballot due to his bitterness over not being included in DISY’s European election ballot.
He emphasized that Pelekanos always had his own opinions, which he expressed from time to time, and perhaps he found his natural place in ELAM.
