The attempted murder case that occurred on April 23 in the Anthoupoli area was described as complex, intricate, and very difficult, said Police Spokesman Christos Andreou.
As stated so far, the police have made 9 arrests – three Greek Cypriots and 6 foreigners – after searches in a number of homes in Nicosia and Limassol, from which a large number of documents were collected, believed to be linked to the case.
He added that the 9 individuals will be brought before the court today for remand, while he explained that investigators are called to continue their investigations to secure the necessary testimony.
A very large number of documents are being evaluated, emphasized Andreou, while the result of scientific examinations that will assist in the investigative work is awaited.
“We are in the very early stages, and time is needed to clarify the case, in order to determine who the physical and who the moral perpetrators are,” Andreou said, while clarifying that all possibilities are open at this stage.
