Disciplinary action for illegal monastery in Natura area

Relevant News

The architects and engineers involved in the construction of a monastery in a Natura area in Cape Greco will be referred to the disciplinary council of ETEK (Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber).

This was announced by the state radio by the president of ETEK, Konstantinos Konstanti, noting that the penalties to be imposed will be announced.

Konstanti stated that the church should serve as a shining example in adhering to relevant legislation, noting that the primary responsibility for initiating the construction works lies with the Municipality of Ayia Napa.

He also said that there has been an increase in cases of illegal developments, resulting in a sense of injustice being caused, and emphasised that ETEK will show strictness towards its members involved in such cases.
