Cypriot practice ‘Kyriacos Tsolakis Architects’ has been shortlisted at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2023 which will be held in Singapore next week.

According to a press release, the Cypriot architectural firm is competing against some of the most known architectural practices globally such as Zaha Hadid Architects, BIG, Grimshaw, UNStudio, MAD Architects and Foster + Partners.

The World Architecture Festival selected the Cypriot project ‘Resort AIR’ as a finalist in the ‘Future Projects’ category which celebrates the most inspiring future architectural projects.

The shortlisted project establishes the mountain as an integral part of this 150-room hotel by allowing it to cascade through its volumes. “Kyriakos Tsolakis Architects design intends to sit in harmony within its context and aims to be the first mass timber building construction on the island,” the firm said.
