Bishopric claims efforts to discredit Tamassos bishop in St Habakkuk scandal

Relevant News

With a new announcement regarding the scandal at the Monastery of Saint Habakkuk, the Tamassos Bishopric alleges attempts to harm the Tamassos bishop.

Simultaneously, they urge everyone with information that could assist in uncovering the case to come forward immediately.

The Statement from the Bishopric of Tamassos and Oreini:

Unfortunately, once again, we note with regret that there are attempts by specific circles to either directly or indirectly harm the bishop.

Beyond the clear response given yesterday by the Government, we reiterate that we neither desire nor intend to engage in public disputes to respond to malicious rumours aimed at misleading public opinion.

We remind that the investigations began following complaints to the Holy Synod and the State after accusations from our bishop of Tamassos, Isaiah.

Similarly, we reaffirm our full confidence in the procedures of both the Synodal Court and the Police Authorities.

It would be wise for those who have information that could assist in uncovering the case to submit it promptly.

We are confident that soon undeniable evidence and the truth will prevail over the mud which some, for various reasons, are trying to impose as supposed reality.
