Members of the Famagusta Anti-Drug Squad (YKAN) conducted a search yesterday at the residence of a 33-year-old in the Famagusta province.
According to relevant information, upon the entry of the police members, the 33-year-old threw to the ground a nylon bag containing one gram of cannabis, and also threw another nylon bag containing one gram of cocaine out of the window.
In his possession, another nylon bag containing one gram of cannabis was found, as well as the sum of €235 euros, for which he did not provide satisfactory explanations regarding its origin.
Additionally, in a search conducted near the suspect’s residence, where he was previously observed moving, hidden under grass, a nylon package containing 140 grams of cannabis was found, along with 111 nylon packages each containing one gram of cannabis, eight nylon packages each containing one gram of cocaine, and 36 ecstasy pills.
All the items found were seized as evidence, while the 33-year-old was arrested and placed in custody to facilitate further investigations.
