U.S. Ambassador named Honorary President of Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Limassol

The Ambassador of the United States to Cyprus, Julie Fisher, accepted an invitation to serve as Honorary President of the Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Limassol.

According to a press release by the club, the title of Honorary President is awarded to the current Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Cyprus according to the Articles of Association of the club.

On February 26, 2024, the President of the club, Polys Hajioannou, and the General Secretary, Loukas Barmparis, met with Ambassador Fisher at the U.S. Embassy in Nicosia.

Costis Frangoulis, International First Vice President of the Propeller Club of the United States, and George Demetriou, Economic Specialist at U.S. Embassy Nicosia, also attended the meeting in person.

During the meeting, executives gave a brief introduction of the club’s origins and mission and informed the Ambassador about her election to serve as Honorary President of the club.

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, the club will host its first event with the presence of Ambassador Fisher.

Individuals who are interested in joining the club can now apply for membership by completing the online membership application form at www.propellerclub.cy.
