A Jordanian delegation will arrive in Cyprus tomorrow to strengthen the Republic of Cyprus’ firefighting helicopter fleet and will be received by the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Maria Panayiotou.
The meeting will occur at the air fire station, of the “Andreas Papandreou” Air Base, Timi, Paphos.
The fire-fighting helicopters will remain in the country at least until the arrival of the aircraft leased by the Republic of Cyprus, joining forces with the Forestry Department and the relevant services in the effort to effectively deal with the fires.
