An 88 year old woman has been taken to Nicosia General Hospital with injuries from a sharp object, possibly a knife after allegedly being attacked by her husband, aged 80.
Police are investigating the incident which occurred in the Nicosia district on Saturday morning.
The woman is undergoing surgery while her husband is expected to be examined by a psychiatrist.
