Paphos police have arrested eight Syrians in connection with the murder late on Friday night of a 20 year old Syrian man and are still looking for two others.
The victim was stabbed to death in a fight. His was body found the following day on a Chlorakas beach.
The eight are understood to have been involved in the fight and were arrested in Paphos and Limassol. Two of them had injuries to their hands.
They were arrested after police obtained testimony that they had agreed to meet on the beach in order to assault the victim as a punishment for ‘issues of honour’.
