Germany’s Sebastian Steudtner can undoubtedly call himself the “king of surfing” after just yesterday he broke the world record for the biggest wave ever surfed.
The 39-year-old Steudtner was in Nazareth, Portugal, and managed to “ride” a 28.57-metre high wave with his board.
The height of the waves was measured by a drone, and according to reports, Steudtner used a special board that enabled him to reach speeds of up to 100 km/h.
The beach at Nazareth has been dubbed “the Everest of surfing.”
It is noted that the previous world record holder was again the same person, as he surfed a wave of 26.21 meters.
