Cyprus is gearing up to host its inaugural parkour competition, “Renegade in Action,” scheduled for May 19, 2024, at Eleftheria Square in Nicosia.
Parkour, a discipline originating from urban environments, focuses on efficient movement and overcoming obstacles with agility and creativity.
According to the organisers, Renegade in Action provides a stage for local parkour enthusiasts to showcase their skills and passion for the sport, backed by the organisational support of Red Point.
The competition will feature various categories, including speed runs and style showcases. Participants from across Cyprus will come together to celebrate their love for parkour and demonstrate their abilities in front of a supportive audience.
Beyond the competition itself, Renegade in Action aims to promote community engagement and support charitable initiatives. By bringing people together through sport, the event seeks to promote physical activity among youth.
