Exhibit8 gallery in Limassol presents the latest solo art exhibition of Valentinos Vassiliou, under the title Be the hacker of your fuc(king) mind. The artist revisits popular icons that belong to pop, religious or national cultures and are invested with a strong symbolic capital, only to create subversive instances that evoke some of the major stakes of the postmodern condition. The opening event will be held on Friday 1st of March of February at 19. 30 and the exhibition will last till the 16th of March.
Valentinos Vassiliou is a Cypriot artist based in Limassol. His artworks have been showcased in group and solo exhibitions in Cyprus and Greece, while he has participated in important art events, such as the Biennale of Florence. Drawing inspiration from his life experiences and a keen observation of social issues, Valentinos’ work serves as a reflection of the world around him. Through a unique blend of mixed media and acrylic techniques, he explores themes ranging from personal identity to broader societal challenges. The exhibition Be the hacker of your fuc(king) mind invites viewers to contemplate the complexities of the human condition and engage in meaningful dialogue about the worlds we inhabit.
