Three women were seriously injured in Xylotympou early on Wednesday evening after a car driven by a woman four times over the limit was involved in a collision with another vehicle.
The accident occurred around 7.30 pm when a 25 year old driver lost control of her car, crossed into the opposite lane and crashed into another vehicle driven by a 28 year old woman.
Both women were seriously injured. The 50 year old mother of the driver of the second vehicle was also injured.
All three have been hospitalised.
Both drivers were breathalysed and the 25 year old was found to have 87 mg — four times the legal limit which is 22 mg. The 28 year old tested negative.
