Before Deputy District Officer Elektra Panayiotou, objections were submitted regarding the candidacy of Nikos Spyrou for the mayoralty of Western Limassol.
According to reports, the objections filed for the candidacy of the outgoing community leader of Lofou and mayoral candidate of Western Limassol concern the issue of transferring the candidate’s electoral rights to the municipality of Ypsonas, where he works, in order to be eligible to run for office.
The objections are expected to be examined by the Deputy District Officer of Limassol, with the submission of the necessary documentation by Mr. Spyrou, while the opinion of the Attorney General is also expected to be requested.
