A private lab approved to carry out the Covid-19 test for the general public has set up operations at the former residence of the district officer of Paphos.
NIPD Genetics is the first company to take up an offer by Paphos Municipality to use municipal facilities free of charge to take samples for the test.
The centre will operate daily, including weekends from 8 am to 2 pm and the results will be available in under 24 hours.

The cost of the test is set by the private company, paid by the individual and the municipality has no involvement, it clarified.
The founder and director of NIPD Genetics is professor and former Health Minister Philippos Patsalis.
Paphos Municipality called on accredited labs that wish to set up facilities to take samples in Paphos to contact municipal secretary Themis Philipides on telephones 26822359 and 26935500.
