A 42-year-old woman was arrested in the early hours of the morning after driving the wrong way on the Paphos-Limassol highway.
Police were alerted by multiple witnesses who reported the vehicle travelling towards Limassol in the Paphos-bound lane.
The vehicle was intercepted near Agia Varvara. The driver was found to be under the influence of both alcohol and narcotics. Her blood alcohol level measured 82mg, significantly exceeding the legal limit of 22mg.
The woman was taken to the Paphos Police Directorate, and her car was impounded for further examination.
