United for Palestine organising Larnaca protest against Gaza war

Relevant News

United for Palestine Limassol is organising a protest against what they claim to be Israeli manipulation and exploitation of the Palestinian plight.

The protest, scheduled for Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m. at Larnaca Marina, aims to denounce what the organisers perceive as the complicity of the Cypriot government in facilitating Israeli actions.

The press release highlights the dire situation in Gaza, citing a staggering death toll exceeding 30,000, with a significant portion being women and children.

The release accuses Israel of using the guise of a “humanitarian corridor” from Cyprus not to deliver aid but to extend its control over the sea of Gaza.

It alleges that the Cypriot government, under the guise of aiding Palestinians, is unwittingly aiding Israeli interests by allowing Israeli security presence on its grounds.

“Cyprus has good intentions to help the Palestinians but it is being manipulated in this cynical cover-up for Israel to steal the resources of a future Palestinian State and try to ethnically cleanse them if they can,” United for Palestine said.

The protest organizers urge Cypriot society to join them in demanding a permanent ceasefire, non-complicity of the Cypriot government in the alleged ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, and rejection of Israeli manipulation aimed at further exploiting Palestinian resources.

In light of these allegations, the protest seeks to raise awareness and mobilise public action against what it perceives as a cynical cover-up for Israel’s agenda in the region.
