The screening of the “Famagusta” series started at 17:00 today at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre in the presence of the President of the Republic, Nicos Christodoulides, the Speaker of the Parliament, Annita Demetriou, other high-ranking guests, sponsors who contributed to its realization, and representatives of the media.
The series also stars Andreas Georgiou, who next Sunday will give his first major interview for the series to Down Town magazine. Among other things, he will talk about how the idea was born, what he wants to say through it, what connects him with the occupied territories, and his relationship with Turkish Cypriots. He will also reveal that, in a difficult moment, a Turkish Cypriot woman was his closest person.
It is recalled that there were reactions from Famagusta residents and others, which were expressed immediately after the announcement of the series. In the previous days, there was a call for a protest outside the Nicosia Municipal Theatre during the presentation of the series, but the protest did not take place.
