Submission deadline for solidarity fund applications

The Ministry of Finance, following its relevant announcement dated 20/12/2023 regarding “Participation in the National Solidarity Fund Replenishment Plan”, reminds affected individuals that the deadline for submitting electronic applications is Tuesday, 30th April 2024 (The electronic service is available here).

It is noted that individuals and legal entities affected, who had the characteristics of a “private client” and whose deposits and securities were devalued in 2013 due to the implementation of stabilization measures in the two systemic banks (Bank of Cyprus and Laiki Bank), have the opportunity to submit electronic applications.

It is reiterated that access to the electronic service for submitting an application to participate in the “National Solidarity Fund Replenishment Plan” is done through the Cy Login Profile, as follows:

Natural persons with Cypriot identification or residence permit in Cyprus (ARC), as well as legal entities with a registration number in Cyprus: Registration AND identification on the Governmental Online Portal CY Login (formerly Ariadne) is required.

Natural persons without Cypriot identification and not residing in Cyprus, as well as legal entities without a registration number in Cyprus: Their registration on the Governmental Online Portal CY Login is required, and their identification will be done during the submission of their application by entering and posting certain additional details and documents.

Furthermore, it is emphasised that participation in the “National Solidarity Fund Replenishment Plan” is only possible through the submission of an electronic application.

Therefore, affected individuals are urged to submit their electronic applications no later than 30th April 2024, as there will be no possibility to submit electronic applications after this date.
