The investigation into the attack on the World Central Kitchen team in Gaza must be swift, thorough, and hold responsible parties accountable, stated Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos in a post on platform X on Thursday.
As reported, during his communication last night with chef José Andrés, Kombos conveyed the warm condolences of the Cypriot Government “for the tragic loss of 7 fearless human heroes who were assisting people on the ground.”
“Dear José, we mourn with you. We work closely with the World Central Kitchen team and share the pain caused by this tragedy with the World Central Kitchen family,” noted the Foreign Minister, adding that Cyprus strongly condemns all acts of violence against humanitarian workers, who must always be protected according to international humanitarian law.
“The investigation must be swift, thorough, and hold responsible parties accountable,” concluded Kombos.
