DISY calls for government briefing on migration, Cyprus issue

Relevant News

DISY calls for information from the government on both the agreement with Lebanon regarding migration and Guterres’ proposals on Cyprus.

They argue that with active participation in the European People’s Party, they can add momentum to common demands.

“We believe that major issues of the country require more collective effort and maximum consensus among all political forces,” asserts the Democratic Rally.

The announcement follows verbatim:

The references stating that “we have agreed on certain matters with Lebanon” and that we expect to see results raise the question of what exactly we have agreed upon.

Unfortunately, once again, there is a lack of useful and necessary information from the political forces concerning a admittedly positive initiative. We have the same question regarding the proposals of the UN Secretary-General, which the President stated were accepted.

We believe that the major issues of the country require more collective effort and maximum consensus among all political forces.

That is why we insist on the regular convergence of the National Council, not just for retrospective updates but for exchanging opinions and determining a unified political discourse and common strategy.

The Democratic Rally, with its active participation in the European People’s Party, can add dynamism to our common demands.
