The Municipality of Nicosia has announced the imminent commencement of construction works as part of the “Suitable Construction of Various Roads in Nicosia – Contract 18, Kaimakli.”
The project will focus on a section of Arch. Makarios III Avenue.
According to the municipality’s statement, the construction works are scheduled to start on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, and are expected to last approximately 10 weeks.
Among the planned activities are flood prevention works, including the construction of a stormwater drainage system, the creation of a comprehensive pedestrian network, road resurfacing, improvement of road markings, the arrangement of parking spaces, and the upgrading of Public Utility Services infrastructure.
The affected section of Arch. Makarios III Avenue extends from the intersection with Arrenagogeiou and N.Th. Ioannou – “Pentadromou” streets to the junction with Makariou B’ Avenue.
