Audit service reviews Health ministry warehouse report

Relevant News

The Audit Service is reviewing a report prepared following the instructions of Health Minister Michael Damianou, concerning the history of the rental by the Ministry of Health of a warehouse that flooded due to severe weather conditions on 18th March.

According to information, Parliament will soon be informed about the contents of the report.

As we understand, the issues that seem to arise concern the initial period of cooperation between the Pharmaceutical Services and the private individual, although this does not currently imply that responsibilities have been identified against specific individuals.

The report of events will be studied by the Audit Service, which is expected to send its observations to the Ministry of Health in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, in recent days, the Audit Service has sent letters to all affected Ministries and other state Authorities, informing them of information it has received regarding premises that are rented but do not have final approval licenses.

The Audit Service requests positions from the competent Ministries/Authorities on these matters.

As we understand, the number of premises mentioned in this specific investigation by the Audit Service relates to the Ministry of Health.
