22-year-old arrested for burglary and narcotics

In the arrest of a 22-year-old individual in relation to investigated cases of burglaries and thefts, illegal possession of property, and illegal possession of narcotics, the Police in Limassol proceeded yesterday.

Specifically, a 34-year-old woman reported that yesterday afternoon, she saw in the auxiliary cottage located behind her house in Limassol, an individual whom she recognised from a Police Announcement concerning a wanted person.

The suspect left the residence, and during an inspection conducted, a watch was found on the ground, which, according to the complainant, was previously inside the bedside table.

Subsequently, the 22-year-old was located and arrested near the said area by members of the Limassol Crime Investigation Department, based on pending court warrants against him, related to three cases of building burglaries and thefts committed between 06/03/2024-20/03/2024 in Limassol, where property totaling approximately 2,708 euros was stolen in total.

In a subsequent search, a small quantity of crystalline methamphetamine substance was found in the possession of the suspect, as well as property for which he did not provide sufficient explanations for its possession, and he was re-arrested for flagrant offenses.

The Limassol District Court continues its investigations.
