Harry and Meghan spoke personally with Prince William and Kate after the announcement that the Princess of Wales was undergoing treatment for cancer.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly spoke privately with the couple last night, according to British press reports.
It is not known if the communication they had was a phone call, video call, or some support messages. The possibility of Harry returning to the UK has also not been made public.
According to the same sources, Harry and Meghan found out about Kate’s health condition at the same time as the whole planet did.
Moreover, sources told the New York Post that the couple had no idea about Kate’s illness. The contact between the two brothers was revealed by ITV’s royal editor Chris Ship.
When Kate got engaged to William 11 years ago, Harry had said of her that she was the “big sister I never had”.
Kate last met Harry after the Queen’s death in September 2022.
Last week, the rift between William and Harry was more than evident as the brothers made dueling appearances at a memorial event for their mother Princess Diana, with William leaving the ceremony before Harry spoke via video call.
The Princess of Wales announced her diagnosis in a video message yesterday, explaining that the cancer was discovered after her abdominal surgery.
