Second ship carrying humanitarian aid to depart for Gaza tomorrow

Relevant News

A second ship is docked since yesterday at Larnaca Port, which, according to reports, is expected to depart for Gaza on Friday to transport 500 tons of humanitarian aid.

According to information, the ship is the “Jennifer,” which is 80 meters long.

It arrived at Larnaca Port from Rhodes and flies the flag of Guinea-Bissau.

The same sources state that the ship is expected to be loaded with 500 tons of humanitarian aid, which arrived from abroad by air at Larnaca Airport, Glafkos Clerides, and was then transferred to a warehouse at Larnaca Port.

The humanitarian aid that the Jennifer ship will transport includes sugar, flour, pasta, canned goods, and milk.

According to reports, scanners have been placed at Larnaca Port, operated by specialized personnel from Israel.

Necessary checks of the humanitarian aid will be conducted for security reasons, and then the specially packaged pallets will be loaded onto the ship.

It is also reported that the ship is expected to depart from Larnaca Port tomorrow, and it is estimated to reach Gaza in 36 hours.

Upon the ship’s arrival in Gaza and due to the seabed’s topography, the ship will wait for the unloading of the humanitarian aid carried by the “Open Arms” and the platform MMS ARIS to be completed.

Then, an unloading operation of the humanitarian aid from the Jennifer ship to the platform will be set up, and from there, the humanitarian aid will be transported to the shore.

This is because large ships cannot approach the shores of Gaza due to shallow waters, and the infrastructure expected to be built by the United States is not yet ready.
