Two persons, a 35-year old woman and a 20-year old man, were charged with traffic offences early this morning.
Traffic police stopped a car, 45 minutes after midnight, on the Limassol to Nicosia motorway, near Latsia, which was speeding at 172 klm per hour instead of 100. Following an alco-test, the driver, a 35-year old woman, living in Nicosia, was found to be over the limit, with an indication of 75 mg instead of 22.
She was charged and freed to be called to appear before the court at a later date.
In Larnaca, police stopped a car moving at 123 klm per hour instead of 50, on Tasos Mitsopoulos avenue, in Larnaca.
