A fie which broke out in the outside areas of a recycling plant at the Aradippou Industrial Estate early on Wednesday morning has been contained.
The fire service was alerted to the fire at around 2 am and responded with five fire trucks. It was contained within two hours. Police are investigating.
The Cyprus News Agency said that a large number of old cars that were intended for recycling were destroyed but the building and installations were not affected.
Moreover, a fire that broke out within the Kalo Chorio firing range around 2 pm on Tuesday was extinguished by 6 pm, having burnt four hectares of dry grass.
The fire brigade said that the fire was caused by National Guard exercises.
