Three patients who received the organs of 12-year-old Arda Okur, who died in a traffic accident, are well in health, reports from the occupied north said.
In a joint news conference, the “health minister” and the administration of the “general hospital” in occupied Nicosia, announced that everything went well with the transplant of the little boy’s heart and two kidneys and that the patients are recovering.
It was also announced that Arda’s liver would be transplanted to a patient in Turkey.
Approximately 100 people in the occupied north are on a waiting list for a kidney transplant and 20 for a heart transplant, reports said.
