Mainly fine on Wednesday with a yellow alert for very high temperatures in effect from 12pm to 5pm.
Isolated showers may fall in the mountains and inland.
Winds will be moderate to fresh, 3 to 4 Beaufort, over smooth to slight sea waters.
The temperature will rise to 40 C inland, 32 C in the mountains and in the west coast and 34 C in all other coastal areas.
The fire hazard is extremely high in all areas of Cyprus.
