An epidemic threatens to wipe out a city. Its residents face death, uncertainty, and the profound questions of human existence: Are people dying by chance or choice? Do they truly understand how to live, or why they are dying?
Eugene Ionesco, one of the most renowned playwrights of the Theatre of the Absurd, grapples with these universal queries in his thought-provoking work, “The Killing Game.”
Responsible for the production’s set and costumes Electra Kythraiotou, while director Myrto Kouyiali also curated the music. The lighting design is by Christos Gogakis, and the scenic design is the creation of Konstantinos and Iakovos Iakovou. Rebbeca Cheila is responsible for the visual communication.
The cast includes the following actors (in alphabetical order): Anna Konstantinou, Gabriella Chatzistylli, Konstantinos Iakovou, Maria Kividiotou, Niki Cheila, and Christodoulos Georgiou.
The performance is part of the 36th Cyprus Amateur Theatre Festival.
