The show includes works by talented local artists, including those on autism spectrum, with proceeds going to Voice for Autism
Kinanis LLC, a Nicosia-based law firm, has organized an art exhibition opening on Friday, December 8, 2023, 7.00 pm, in association with The Cyprus Chamber of Fine Arts (EKATE).
The exhibition is at the Akamantis Business Center, 10 Egypt Avenue, Nicosia 1097 and will be open until 05/01/2024.
On show are sculptural works and pieces of art from members of EKATE and the general public. All net proceeds will go to Voice for Autism, an NGO that is changing the landscape in Cyprus for young adults on the autism spectrum.
Ivi Papaioannou, on behalf of Kinanis LLC, says there was an overwhelming number of entries to the competition and the calibre of artwork is very high. There are 62 participants presenting original work. A commemorative book has been published where all participants are included along with their art work.
“This is a very dynamic art show and a great opportunity for people to see and have the opportunity to buy works from talented artists in our community. What heartens us the most is that our autistic community is also participating in the exhibition. We are happy to support Voice for Autism and to assist them in the important work they are doing in advocating for empowerment of people with autism.”
Ellen Georgiou Pontikis, President of Voice for Autism. says “This art event shows true social integration by Kinanis LLC. It’s not just an art show with proceeds being handed over. A careful effort has been made to include autistic individuals and involve them in the event itself.”
Voice for Autism advocates for the rights of individuals with autism to access the necessary supports and structures to achieve their highest potential and live a life enriched with independence and opportunity.
Members of the Voice for Autism Band will be playing at the event.
