What role do you think the environment of Cyprus has played in your artistic development?

The environment of Cyprus has undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping my artistic development. The rich cultural tapestry, stunning landscapes, and vibrant atmosphere of the island have served as a wellspring of inspiration for my music. Whether it’s the warmth of the Mediterranean sun or the timeless beauty of ancient ruins, Cyprus has infused my work with a sense of authenticity and soulfulness that is unmistakably its own.

How would you describe the creative period you are going through right now?

The creative period I’m currently experiencing can be best described as deeply introspective and emotionally charged. My latest album, “Human,” delves into the complexities of the human experience, exploring themes of identity, connection, and vulnerability. It’s a deep dive into my personal journey where I lay bare some innermost thoughts and feelings.

What elements have you added to your music in recent years and how do you imagine your tune in the next stage?

Over the years, I’ve been constantly evolving as an artist, incorporating new elements into my music to keep it fresh and exciting. In recent times, I’ve experimented with blending different genres, styles, and instruments, creating a sound that is uniquely mine. Looking ahead, I imagine my music continuing to evolve, perhaps delving even deeper into uncharted sonic territories and pushing the boundaries of creativity, as long as it is honest and resonates with me first and foremost.

What does the title ‘Human’ refer to? What turn in your life and your view of the world does it indicate?

The title ‘Human’ speaks to a profound shift in my perspective on life and the world around me. It signifies a deeper exploration of humanity, empathy, and introspection in my music. This album marks a turning point in my artistic journey, where I embrace the rawness of human emotions and the beauty of imperfection.

What is the source of beauty?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To me, the source of beauty lies in the rawness and authenticity of human experience. It’s the moments of vulnerability, passion, and truth that resonate deeply and evoke powerful emotions. Beauty can be found in the simplest of things – a heartfelt melody, a poignant lyric, or a soul-stirring performance or simply a smile.

What makes a piece of music timeless?

A piece of music becomes timeless when it transcends the confines of time and space, touching the hearts of listeners across generations. It’s a combination of exceptional craftsmanship, universal themes, and emotional resonance that ensures its enduring appeal. Timeless music speaks to the human spirit, resonating with our deepest desires, fears, and aspirations.

What do you consider to be the most defining influence on your career?

I’d say that the most defining influence on my career has been my unwavering dedication to authenticity and soulfulness in my music. From collaborating with legendary artists to receiving accolades and awards, every experience has shaped me as an artist and reinforced my commitment to my craft.

How do you see yourself in the rapidly evolving music industry?

In the words of the great Greek Philosopher Heraclitus – “The only constant thing is change”. In the rapidly evolving music industry, I see myself as someone who embraces change while staying true to the artistic vision. I welcome technological advancements and new distribution models as opportunities to reach a wider audience and connect with fans on a deeper level. My goal is to continue creating music that is honest, heartfelt, and meaningful, regardless of the industry trends.

Do you also see your thematic stimuli changing, enriching?

Absolutely, my thematic stimuli are constantly evolving and enriching my creative process. I draw inspiration from a myriad of sources, from personal experiences to global events, and as the journey continues, I look forward to exploring new themes and pushing the boundaries of creativity.

Are you worried about the evolution of music and its future as an art?

While the evolution of music is inevitable, I’m not worried about its future as an art form. Music has always been a powerful medium of expression, capable of transcending boundaries and uniting people from all walks of life. As long as artists continue to create from the heart and audiences remain open to feelings, new sounds and ideas, the future of music is bright.

Was there ever a moment when you doubted that music is what you want to express yourself with?

There have certainly been moments of doubt along my journey, times when I questioned whether music was truly the right path for me. But with each challenge and setback, my love for music only grew stronger, reaffirming my belief in its transformative power. Music is not just what I do – it’s who I am, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
