Food options in the village of Platres are limited. To Anoi is a large-capacity, family tavern, located very close to the village’s central square, serving traditional Cypriot dishes.
The girls of the family serve the food, which is fast and efficient, however I felt that they were a bit distant, so I’d prefer them to be friendlier and more cheerful.
You should have the wonderful pastitsio served in a small, round clay tray and the Cypriot village ravioli. I also tried the pork and chicken souvlaki, the shieftalia and lamb kleftiko, which although tasteful were served to us cold. However, I particularly enjoyed the koupepia that the grandmother of the family makes.
Wash them down with a glass of Porfyros red wine.
I have to say that I was disappointed by the galaktoboureko and the kataifi which were dry and not tasty.
