Ingredients
For the white mixture:
- 1 microwavable pop corn sachet with butter flavor or only 6% fat
- 250 gr unsalted butter
- 20 large marshmallows white or coloured
- 1 1/4 cup rice cereals (Rice Krispies)
- ½ cup coloured candies (M & M’s or Smarties)
- ½ cup coloured balls or truffles
For the brown mixture:
- 2 chocolates (50 gr) with caramel (e.g., Snickers, Mars, Galaxy),
- 250 gr unsalted butter
- 3 cups rice cereals
Method
Prepare the white mixture
Step 1:
Remove the plastic wrap from the popcorn and unfold the bag.
Step 2:
Place it in the center of the microwave with the front facing down.
Step 3:
Bake in high power for 2-4 minutes.
Step 4:
You will known when the time between the pop corn sounds is 1-2 seconds.
Step 5:
Leave the bag for 30 seconds before removing it from the microwave.
Step 6:
Open carefully.
Step 7:
Place them in a bowl.
Step 8:
You should have 6 cupfuls of pop corn.
Step 9:
Add the rice cereals and mix.
Step 10:
Put the butter in a pan to melt it.
Step 11:
Add the marshmallows and lower the heat.
Step 12:
Mix well until the marshmallow melt.
Step 13:
Pour on top of the pop corn.
Step 14:
Mix well to cover everything with the mixture.
Step 15:
Add the coloured candies and the truffles and mix.
Step 16:
Cover a baking form with a plastic wrap and make a hole in the middle.
Step 17:
Add the pop corn in the form and press them with the back side of a spoon in order to get the shape of the form.
Prepare the brown mixture
Step 1:
Melt the butter and the chocolates in a bain-marie.
Step 2:
Remove the pot from the fire and add the cereal.
Step 3:
Mix well.
Step 4:
Empty the mixture in the form.
Step 5:
Press the mixture to spread it evenly.
Step 6:
Leave it to dry for around 30 minutes.
Step 7:
Remove, carefully, the cake from the form and serve it in a nice platter.
Step 8:
You can add some more candy.
Step 9:
It’s better to eat it on the same day.
