Monadiko Rural House
“a unique experience of simplicity and understated beauty”

In Greek, Monadiko (“μοναδικό”) means unique, something unlike anything else, one of a kind.
This rural place is a spacious house (122 m2) of traditional mountainous architecture, which was constructed in the late 18th century to accommodate the cooperative commercial bank of the village. Later on it was transformed into a coffee shop and right before its last renovation, it was used as a storing facility for packaging carobs. The building was especially restored in order to accommodate a family or a group of friends.
Monadiko comprises of a comfortably furnished open-plan (91 m2) living and dining room, a large kitchen with modern appliances and a guests’ restroom on the ground level. The upper level is a traditional wooden loft (“patari”) (35 m2), which can be accessed via a stone built staircase. It includes one double and two single beds and a modern shower-room. The picturesque garden (121 m2) planted with different species of jasmine, frangipane, pomegranate and walnut trees can be viewed from the two storey high glass panels. This creates the ideal environment for visitors seeking tranquillity and simplicity. At the far end of the stone-paved courtyard there is a traditional small “kleftiko” wood burning oven.

Polytimo Rural House
‘the peaceful charm of a precious retreat’

In Greek, Polytimo (“πολύτιμο”) means precious, valuable, an object of high importance.

This rural place is a spacious house (175 m2) of traditional mountainous architecture, which was constructed in the early 12th century to accommodate the residence, the stalls, a stone olive press and an olive-oil cellar. The building has been carefully restored with the utmost care and exceptional workmanship. Its individually selected furnishings, art pieces and antique objects have been chosen with special attention, aiming to offer a unique experience to its guests.

Polytimo house is accessed via a short paved street, through a wooden door on the façade’s stonewall. The house contains a comfortable living room with a fireplace, a separate dining room, an arched patio opening into the courtyard, a traditional kitchen with modern appliances and a guests’ restroom. The outside staircase leads to two charming double guestrooms (22 m2) and a tiled modern shower-room on the upper level. The guestrooms share a spacious covered terrace (45 m2), which has a direct view of the village, the surrounding landscapes and the private enclosed stone built patio-garden. The upper terrace provides the right setting for peaceful and restful afternoons and evenings. The remodelled garden (120 m2) with different species of jasmine, bougainvilleas, citrus and walnut trees is a haven of seclusion. Cherished memories of absolute peace and relaxation will come to mind long after your stay.

Andri’s House

Andri’s traditional house is situated in Kalavasos, a small peaceful village between the three main towns of Cyprus (Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol) not more than 5 minutes away from the sea. The house consists of 3 One bedroom apartments and 4 studios, which can be combined together. Each one has central heating and air-conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, traditional style bathroom, contemporary bathroom, providing to the guests all the necessary comforts.
Andri’s traditional house offers a central common garden, with lemon trees and beautiful flowers, where quests can relax having their breakfast. This listed house was carefully restored using traditional materials from the surrounding region blending in with the general environment of the hills of the Larnaca District. It is situated in the village Kato-Drys (birth place of Ayios Theodoros) at 520 m above sea level, a village that has been imprinted on the Cyprus pound note.
Kato Drys is a small peaceful village with a medieval character and offers a perfect cool dry climate in summer and a mild winter. It is rich in history and has interesting architecture, flora and fauna.
The house has an enormous garden with a variety of fruit trees and an organic vegetable garden. Visitors can watch while the owner works at traditional occupations, such as viticulture, wine making (Commandaria), the production of almonds and olives, gardening and bee-keeping, as well as taste the produce.

Kleanthis House

This excellent traditional building was originally build at the end of 19th century and was the Kleanthis family residence
for many years. Recently (2003) was renovated with great care and respect to the local architectural style character and culture under the supervision of the Cyprus Government and Cyprus Tourism authorities, and now it’s comfortable bedrooms are available for rent all year around. The house stands at the highest point of the village, and the view from the upper floor (suite) is magnificent, overlooking the village and the sea in the background.

Kleanthis House offer a big private courtyard with garden, en – suite bathrooms, self-catering fully equipped kitchen, air-condition and other facilities. The house consists of a studio (two single beds), one-bedroom (two single beds) and one suite (one double bed) on the second floor. The house is located in the centre of the village next to the municipal park. As you enter the building you pass through a stunning arched entrance hall which leads you to a beautiful courtyard and the heart of the building. Four stunning apartments are located around the courtyard. The house has two studio apartments, one of which has been exquisitely restored with traditional furnishings and retains many original features; including a stunning stone arch which spans the entire room. The house also has two fully equipped apartments; one two bedroom with balcony, and one single bedroom. A listed stone building in the centre of the village which accommodates five units: three one bedroom suites that sleep a third person in the living room and two studios. There is a common ‘iliakos’ (covered terrace) that can be used for all fresco meals. The buildings are positioned in the cobbled stone courtyard around the swimming pool with a Jacuzzi. In the courtyard there are local trees and planted aromatic herbs. Every suite is named by the colour that is prominent in its decoration: Red, Lefko, Ochre, Orange and Terra Verde. ‘Prodoma’ is a small quite house situated on the outskirts of the quiet stone-built preserved village of Maroni in Larnaca District. The preserved village that dates back to Medieval times consists of about 30 houses inhabited mainly be old locals or retired foreigners and is built on a limestone hill 70 meters high overlooking a citrus valley that stretches about 2 kilometres towards the beach.
Prodoma House is mainly a ground-floor house with upper floor for the TV/living room with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool and the narrow road (adjacent to the valley) that leads to the beach. The ground-floor consists of one kitchen, one dress-room and two en-suite bedrooms with separate toilets and showers.
The house has central heating and fans. While sunbathing in the yard by the swimming pool or resting in the shade of a big tent, there will be almost no noise to destruct you from your nirvana.
Driving or Biking along the valley you may stop for a fresh fish meal under the vines in a restaurant specializing in Cyprus cuisine, which there are a lot in the area. The rural area around the village has small villages with cafes, taverns and restaurants.

The Blue Door is the perfect choice for families since both bedrooms interconnect from inside enabling parents to keep an eye on their children throughout the night. It consists of two bedrooms with a shared bathroom (with bathtub), a large living room and kitchen.

Stratos House

Stratos’ House is situated near the centre of the village square of Kalavasos. As you stroll across the stone-paved square towards the narrow streets, look out for number 16, and you will face a large front door, where Mrs Panayiota stands at the doorstep to welcome you. Inside, the beautiful courtyard with its two traditional arches is decorated with a large clay vessel which goes back a long way. Three doors lead to the different rooms.
The house has two large rooms, each with its own bathroom, kitchenette and ceiling fans. Every room can accommodate up to four persons.
Enjoy your breakfast or lunch under the arches, or take a book and climb up the stairs to the vine covered veranda to read or relax.
Traditional as it is, the house has maintained its unimpaired original character for the last 300 years. There is a private swimming pool available on 300m from the house in a beautiful area on a hill surrounding with green and flowers, free of charge.

Ta Domata tou Zeniou is a traditional house located in the centre of the village. It was built in 1920 and renovated in 2003.

The House of Achilles
(Choirokoitia, Larnaca)

The listed stone house was built in the 19th century by the owner’s family. The house was completely restored in 2006. The occupants of the house at the turn of the century were farmers who cultivated wheat and barley using oxen, and harvested carob and olive trees in the valley below. The women of the house spun and loomed silk, raised pigs, kept fowl, harvested the crops and worked lace for the merchants of Lefkara. They brought their wine by donkey from the nearby mountain village of Vavla. From a private road, double wooden doors open into a secluded garden planted with lavender, oleander and stephanotis and overlooked by an ancient almond tree. Swallows, nightjars, hummingbird hawkmoths, bats, geckoids, butterflies and hedgehogs are daily visitors. Inside the house is a fine example of a Palati, a double vaulted arched room with stone flooring that is a cool and elegant sitting room. The house is air-conditioned and centrally heated. Three double bedrooms are all ensuite. The dining room will sit 8-10 comfortably. A terrace runs the length of the house and overlooks the swimming pool. This house offers the peace and tranquillity of the past with all modern conveniences.

(The second floors were built in 1902.) The complex consists of 3 one-bedroom apartments and 5 studios, each with its private bathroom, toilet and kitchen. All have access to the yard in the shade of a vine tree and a lemon tree. During the summer you can sip your coffee or wine as you enjoy the view of the beautiful west side of the village, which is dominated by the church of the saints Constantinos and Eleni.
