When everything flows so naturally, authentically, effortlessly. To harmonize and fit into the magnitude of our own person, Marios Tokas. No matter how many years pass, his vibrant presence is detected in the timeless horizons of the present and the future. It is also a distinct gift. Among the many other qualities that adorned his personality.

This counts much more when referring to your own person, to ours, Marios Tokas. It was Nicosia’s turn to take the baton and awaken vivid memories, so natural and inexhaustible.

The presentation of the book “Marios Tokas – Unknown Aspects of His Life,” written by his brother Nikos, with a soulful background, in a crowded space at the Journalists’ Club, exceeded all expectations.

It’s not so much the usual elements that give an event its characteristic success, but the vitality, the pulse, the grandeur that emerges from another form of “mystagogy” that captivates and transforms you where quality is defined.

Marios Tokas, whom I had the blessing to meet personally several times, initially captivated you with his so kind-hearted and genuine smile.

Quickly you realized he was a remarkable person, with uncompromising principles and values. In an era where we search for patriotism and still struggle with the concepts, it was impressive how passionately he spoke about his special homeland. I had mentioned there that it’s not an exaggeration what his brother and friend Nikos often says, that for Mario Cyprus was his first and last lover…

I effortlessly gathered this feeling from the very beginning.

However, what I wanted to emphasize more is the realization that this rare individual was so deeply versed in the art of unification… The event last Tuesday, adorned with such beauty and grace, primarily from unknown aspects and human facets that surfaced, transformed into a focal point for all who rushed out of genuine love for Marios.

People from all walks of life and ideologies were present. What united them all was the love they held for a person whose true vision was, not only in notes but in his entire life, to unite… This, for him, was another distinct art.
