It is good, every now and then, to re-introduce ourselves

I’m not a stone-hearted individual to remain unmoved by the fact that Tamassos Isaiah… continues, as he himself informs us, “to bear the heaviest oppression, until death.”

Nor, of course, would we want, in these days, for him to slacken his ecclesiastical duties by resorting, as he says, to daily prayers to the Lord, seeking His mercy… “for the things that happen to me unwillingly.”

After all, let Christos Christou and Marios Hannides share some of the prayers. Aren’t Thronic Commissioners appointed to assist the Bishop’s work?

And I mention Marios Hannides not coincidentally, as Marios is familiar with “national socialism,” “supposedly patriotic positions,” and “nationalistic slogans,” when with Thronic Commissioner Christou – even though the latter is there as a devout faithful resident of Politiko and not as the president of ELAM – they can more easily collaborate and beseech, on behalf of the Lord, for mercy.

You will remember, I hope, what Marios Hannides said about Marinos Sizopoulos and EDEK when he decided to abandon it in 2016 to wear AKEL’s shoes in the 2016 elections.

He spoke from experience (“since I was previously a member of EDEK’s youth”) and stated that EDEK was now “closer to national socialism than socialism.”

And he noted that the “nationalistic rhetoric” used by EDEK reminded him of the annex of Golden Dawn in Cyprus, ELAM.

“Nationalistic slogans may sound nice to some, but they do not serve the effort to find a solution and therefore do not serve Cyprus,” Hannides said at the time.

Five years later, and after the romance with AKEL did not lead to a flourishing life, he returned, in the 2021 elections, to the EDEK ticket to fight… democratic and patriotic battles, along with Marinos Sizopoulos.

As EDEK noted when announcing its candidates for the 2021 elections, the electoral confrontation was very important because… it would determine the future of the anti-bizonal front.

And Marios Hannides, who knows what serves Cyprus and what doesn’t – primarily himself – rushed to lend a hand!

Enough, however, with the wandering Marios Hannides – these words are more than enough waste for his case, I believe.

However, it would be interesting, don’t you think, if in a break from his incessant prayers, the Lord found time to tell us exactly what he foresaw by appointing these gentlemen as Thronic Commissioners.

And yes, I don’t hide that my interest is greater in Christos Christou.

Why?

For the obvious reason: because Bishop of Tamassos and Oreinis Isaiah, who enthrones leaders with the aim “to sanctify the land and make it smell of Hellenism” (!), appointed Michaloliakos’s bodyguard.

The bodyguard of the man who slept cuddled with Hitler’s portrait, wrote hymns to him in the Organization’s magazines, and who, in a hysterical moment of speech in March 2012, shouted to the gathered crowd: “We are the seed of the defeated of 1945. This is us. The nationalists, the national socialists, the fascists.”

Does the Lord know who was defeated in 1945? Does he know about which “seed” Michaloliakos speaks, and of which Christou was a member of his guard – the elite of the red berets?

Certainly not Hellenism, with which he wants to make the land smell!

And the skulls of the SS, from which the Greeks of Distomo and other areas suffered, an emblem that adorned (!) the shirts of the black-dressed detachment that, led by Christou, “paraded” in the summer in Chloraka?

Are they also in the struggle to… make the land smell of Hellenism, Lord?

Or perhaps Christos Christou, who proudly proclaimed on September 18, 2013, from SIGMA’s television, “We are not the equivalent of Golden Dawn, we are the Golden Dawn of Cyprus,” as president of ELAM, is the seed of the defeated of 1945, but as Thronic Commissioner resident of Politiko will make the land smell of Hellenism?
