A young woman early on Tuesday was run down by a car on a pedestrian’s crossing near the University of Cyprus in Aglantzia, Nicosia.
She was rushed by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital where doctors are examining her with police being unable to say what her condition is.
Investigations into the morning accident are ongoing, police also said.
